Iron Maiden is the greatest in my opinion, of all time.

I never realy liked Black Sabbath that much, don't know why. Just a different style I think.

I don't really know too many heavy metal bands beyond ACDC and Metallica who are bands which I enjoy listening to on occasion.

I tend to be a more of a melancholic and depressed geek and I prefer my rock bands to be grungy and/or alternative.

But a good blood pumping tune from a fairly accessible mainstream heavy metal band can do wanders for ones work when one needs to speed things up.

Now I've begun thinking about semantics. I think of Iron Maiden as being in a different category than Black Sabbath. I think of H.M. as being bluesy and melancholy with melodic guitar riffs (B.S., D. P., L.Z. even) . I think of Iron Maiden as being a transitional band between original HM and speed metal (faster guitar rhythms and louder, higher toned vocals).

She's a very lucky woman, not many men would brave the dangers of Irin. Although you probably had to go via Australia or South Africa to get pronunciation right.
