Older TV looking to purchase Blu-ray player

My TV is a few years old and still has the older/round coaxial type connections. I've researched the Blu-ray players and the cables are the newer flat "USB" type. Will the player still be compatible with my TV? Do I need an adapter of some sort. Our Direct box also has the older round connections. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

@LittleBooBoo,
Your old TV is unable to display the full resolution from a Blu-ray, so you are essentially wasting your money. You can probably down-convert the signal, but you'd be better off buying the cheaper standard DVD and using the cheaper DVD player.
