Good horses. Not baby rhinos, but cool just the same. :-D

I think that it suits you Roberta (although, if we were to have a poll about with whom we associate the black cat, it would probably come out with people mostly thinking you.)I like the little horse trailing a little bit behind too.

What's happened with Phoenix and dlowan's avatars? They seem smaller to me.

drom, Glad you like it.

Phoenix, At least everyone is running in the same direction. BTW, I saw a full-face version of your avatar. An elfin being. I like the eye better.

Deb, LOL. Hey Mr. DeMille, Deb is ready for her closeup.

farmerman, Poor guy. No avatar.

jes, Believe me, I looked for a baby rhino. I guess rhinos aren't big in the avatar department. Lord knows they're big in actual life. But I'm happy with the horses. Mother and colt (or filly).

Vivien, I love your avatar. If I had seen it first, who knows?

hmmmm
i still like the running horses avatar. it has a really interesting (to me) mother-and-child-in-unity vibe to it. Maybe it's a good tie-in to the parents thread Roberta has on the go?

ehBeth, The tie may be to that thread. But I think there's a closer link here.

The first book I took out of the library was about horses. Every summer I would ride through the woods and forest trails. For three summers in a row, I rode the same palomino. And every Labor Day I would come home and tell my parents that I wanted a horse. We could keep it in the backyard--the alley.

I was just going on my gut response to the avatar, Roberta. I 'feel' a mother and child together when I look at it. I didn't look at the parents thread til after I'd first seen the avatar.

a little treat for you ...

Margo, Your wish is my command. A little grainy. But it's the monster cat.

Aww, Roberta; behind the façade of his unblinking green eyes, he is too loveable to be a monster cat!

Your avatar IMO is what ever you want it to be, not a joint communal consensus. If you like mikey as your representative Roberta, than that is all that should matter. I messed with my avatar once and, computer naif that I am, nearly ended up in the same condition as Farmerman. So I figure I'm stuck with old Tut. Not that I mind him all that much.

I think Setanta is wearing farmerman's proposed new avatar for some interesting reason. Men.

Acquiunk, Although Margo suggested that I use Mikey as an avatar, it was my decision--and mine alone--to change.

I spent the past several days and many hours hunting around on the Web for an inanimate avatar. I couldn't find one I liked or that would fit a2k's requirements. Then I remembered that there was a photo of my cat floating around somewhere in cyberspace. I hunted it down and got it to fit.

I loved the leopard, but it was time for a change. I loved the horses, but all that running was making me noivous. I love Mikey. Can't argue with that.

drom, You'll have to take my word for it. Mikey is a monster, a maniac, and a major pain in the ass. Lucky for him he's cute.

ehBeth, Yes, it's very hard to stay mad at a such a cutie.

osso, Yup, finally tracked down the photo and took the plunge.

Gadzooks! He does look like Possum! Who is all those things, and amazingly cute as well - and did I mention he's a cat-clown!
