I avoided this thread, because the originator of it is on ignore by me, but I just finished reading the Village Voice article and loved it.

I think the article could have opted to turn the volume down on the offense and word swapped "white" for "real." This, however, would have downplayed the real ugly racism that is present.

well, i just put you on ignore for a moment, the thread and your first post still appeared to me on the main menu, but every other post in the thread was collapsed, not sure how that works as i don't actually ignore anyone, but even if the thread was collapsed he could still look at it, and read the article, it is i believe a free country
