I've talked about this book a million times on A2K. This was the one to heal me years ago when I felt just like our poster.

How To Survive the Loss of a Love by Peter McWilliams. Less than 100 pages, some pages only a sentence or two. Get this book. You'll be glad you did.

Having followed eoe's recommendation, I know she is correct. I gave this book to my then 18 year old niece when some guy she was crazy about dumped her two days after sleeping with her (her first time). I wasn't sure if she was going to shoot herself or him, but apparently this book calmed her down and she went on to find happy, healthy, loving relationships in the aftermath.
