Mine is the Pentel R.S.V.P. BK90 USA FINE.

The ball is always 'wet'...ready to write smoothly.
Fine line.
Black
Reasonably priced.
Click or cap optional.
Clear (you can see the ink left).
Lasts. And lasts...
Rubber comfort grip.

Just an outstanding value!

My sentimental favorite is my old Montblanc fountain pen that I bought when I got my first long term full time job. Decades later I sat on my purse (long story) and broke it.

Now, I am liking my Staples OptiFlow, black ink, which I'm sure I bought because it fine point and inexpensive.

In my lab days, I loved my Sharpies. In my drawing days, I loved my Rapidographs. In my drafting days, I still liked Rapidographs, but mostly used mechanical pencils.

@ibstubro,
Pilot Explorer, also from Pentel. It's a reed tip pen.

@Ticomaya,
I still have a plastic baggie with all my Montblanc pen parts. They're good about fixing a pen. Back in the day, you sent it to them, and they'd replace a part for $6.00. Times change, but they probably would still replace the plastic parts of my pen and use the still good gold bits.

@roger,
I've never heard of a reed tip pen?

@ibstubro,
I've been cleaning, a dastardly occupation. I tossed some stuff, but I still have

a Metropolitan Museum of Art pen (rolls eyes, probably worth nineteen cents, if that) and a The Art Institute of Chicago Pen, very clever. I know I've tossed italy pens, so it goes.

@ibstubro,
They probably call it something else, now. Neither a nib nor a ball. I don't know how else I might describe it. Writes smoothly though, and without pressure.
