Max, Burning the Koran is in many ways a statement, a rather brave one I might add, that the west will not be intimidated into giving up free speech. Islamists have sent a very loud and clear message, offend us and we will kill you. It is already having an effect of silencing many in the west, fear, terror is always effective. The whole world needs to burn all its holy books, but especially the Koran, a vile peace of work.

The American flag is a sacred symbol. Burning it greatly offends and angers many people.. The reasons people burn a Koran are exactly the same as the reasons people burn an American flag.

If someone kills you for burning an American flag, they should go to jail for murder. I don't see that we are disagreeing on this.
