Plenty of Support

Jodie Nelson, from Southern California, standup-paddled for approximately 40 miles in order to raise money for two cancer societies as well as raise awareness for Breast Cancer. This is a very personal cause for Jodie, since both her mother and aunt are cancer survivors. The message of the trek was to her best friend, telling her to “keep fighting”.

However, an anonymous contributor made a debut appearance as well. For 2 hours of the trek, a minke whale kept Jodie company, swimming alongside her, rolling over and even blowing bubbles under Jodie’s board.
