Recommendations for a good wireless mouse for PC desktop?

My Microsoft wireless mobile 3000 mouse is showing symptoms of impending death so I'm on the hunt for a replacement in the under $25 range. From browsing Amazon.com, it looks like Logitech and Microsoft are still the main players in this price range.

Has there been any improvement in them or should I just buy a similar replacement? I ideally need one with a wider range of operation than the 3 feet this MS 3000 one gives.

@Butrflynet,
Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000

Gets a very good (4/5 stars) review by CNet.

Logitech Wireless Mouse M305

Both are slightly more then you're asking for but if you look around you might find a deal.

@tsarstepan,
I think I may have given my mouse a renewed lifespan. I just hunted around on the Microsoft update site to see if there were any recent mouse driver updates and found one for this mouse. After downloading and installing, my mouse has lost the skittish personality it had developed in the last week.

If it lasts, hopefully I won't need to replace it so soon after all.

I took a look at those on Amazon too, Tsar. Thanks. I'll keep links to them for when my mouse finally bites the dust.
