My girlfriend has a 4 receiver deal and the one in her bed room will kill the batteries in about a week, I thought it was a bad remote so I purchased a new one and it does the same. Has anyone ever heard of this problem?

@Lee Nichols,
I think you are saying that she has four receivers in her home, each with a remote, but only the remote in her bedroom eats batteries. If you take the same remote and keep it in another room, does it still eat batteries? Is it a typical IR remote or does it use some other method of connecting to the receiver? If it's an IR remote, then nothing I can think of will make two remotes both run down batteries. We need some more details.

@engineer,
Sorry I did not mean to say 4 receivers. she has one receiver that works 2 bedrooms and one that works kitchen and den. The one remote in her bedroom that she does not use much will drain batteries in about a week.

@Chumly,
Sory I did not mean to say 4 receivers. She has one that operates 2 bedrooms and one that operates kitchen and den. The one in her bedroom is the remote that drains battereies.

Go get brand new alkaline batteries from a big name such as Energizer or Duracell and make sure of the "due date" on the box. Also make sure you are not accidentally leaving the buttons pushed in.
