Obama. Please put the Pope in jail.
Obama. Please arrest my Pope. It speaks to Duty and law enforcement.
Religionists of all stripes should demand action against known criminals regardless of religious affiliations.
No one should be above the law.
Is it our duty as people of faith, belief, spirituality of some description to demand law enforcement.
It is our duty to demand that the law of the land be upheld?
Should President Obama be encouraged to bring my Pope to secular justice?

agree, i'd hope that the pope would be arrested if he came to canada, won't happen, but it should, every country should give him the same ultimatum, come here and we'll arrest you
You do understand that the President of the US has no jurisdiction over the head of the Roman Catholic church and has no power to arrest, don't you?
@plainoldme,
he does however have the ability to grant an amnesty, which is something bush did
In 2005 a test case in Texas failed because the Vatican sought and obtained the intercession of President Bush, who agreed to claim sovereign (ie head of state) immunity on the pope's behalf. Bush lawyer John B Bellinger III certified that Pope Benedict the XVI was immune from suit "as the head of a foreign state".
so, if obama rescinded that decision, then charges filed against the pope could be levelled, ending in arrest
@djjd62,
I have to think about this because my first reaction was . . . here is an administration whose atty ruled that the Pope is immune from suit as a the head of a foreign state that hunted down, prosecuted and hung the head of foreign state (Iraq).
@djjd62,
IT certainly is, Ollie. The contradictions make me dizzy.
@plainoldme,
Our government only has three branches: Legislative, Executive, and Judicial. Is there another called The Power to Arrest Branch? The president is at the head of the Executive, by the way.

I hate to say it but it does look like Canada has no more morals or balls than the U S.
Thank God, so to speak, that the Brit's have big balls.
They are doing what we should all be doing.

Ever hear of extradition and regardless of power, a clear moral message from Governments would show the immorality of the Vatican.
To be silent is to be in collusion with pedophilia as far as I am concerned.
