What is this curly ivy plant?

I adopted a very curly thick-leaved (almost like succulents) ivy from our little greenhouse but all anyone could tell me was that it was an Israeli ivy. That seems to me more a statement of origin than proper nomenclature. The people who gave it to the greenhouse in the first place are from Israel, but that was all they could tell us. The leaves are quite dark and very shiny and they curl around and into each other, looking almost like a braid. Can anyone tell me anything about it?
