@Braindamaged,
I'm no rapper - but i play guitar. It was a bit of a shock when i realised as a kid that the dudes I was listening to (and thinking - wow, great licks) had all 'borrowed' those licks from musicians that came before them.
So, my advice would be - listen to as much rap as you can - listen to the old stuff too - like 'Public Enemy', and start writing down words and lines of your own that grab you... maybe you'll get lucky and someone like the Professor will come along and give you some better advice.

@Endymion,
Yeah. I do listen to alot of rap, trying to write... but it's like... HARD.
Cuz i have no inspiration at the moment.. but i'm kinda thinking of waiting untill i have some inspiration.. Write stuff down, which i find "rap-able".. and yeah... but i wonder if there's a special way, it's best to do the things.. Smile
Thanks for your answer tho. (:

@Braindamaged,
We have a very talented, A2K member, and who is a super nice guy, who is an expert in creating poems, music, and lyrics. I suggest you contact him to give you information that will be valuable to you. You can create a new post titled edgarblythe that he will see and can respond to you. You can also click on the in box in the upper right corner above and send him a private message.

You also can see Edgar's post Songs that tell stories for information.

I'm no musician, but I write poems. Poems and lyrics seem to be very similar in face value, but different in execution. I'd say start with whatever you feel comfortable with. If you have a nice beat see if you can match it with some words, or if you have some nice words see if you can match it with a beat.

Listen to some Asheru; he has great tunes.
