Ok so I was online looking for a copy of The Bait by John Donne...and link site brought me here....

The poem submitted by Rae.....IS NOT THE BAIT BY JOHN DONNE!!! IT IS THE PASSIONATE SHEPHERD TO HIS LOVE BY CHRISTOPHER MARLOWE!!! I don't know...but something has to be done about it because it is a terrible thing for one poem to be posted as another

The first two lines of the poems are in fact the same...Come live with me and be my love...but the rest of the poem is not!!!!

I am an English major...a DIE HARD ENglish major FIX THIS immediatley OR TAKE IT OFF THE SITE Evil or Very Mad I am so very angry!

First of all, there's no need to demand a fix, we are as interested as you are in accuracy (though less hyperbolic about it ;-) ).

Secondly we are getting what seems to be conflicting reports about the poem's accuracy, so any substantiation you can give to your claim will help.

Lastly, there is a link on the poem page that says "Correct/edit the poem" or something similar.

And is now - I just checked again - it was mistaken a while back, for which I, as the eeejit, take full responsibility - but I submitted the correct poem a while back.

Now I will check the Marlowe!
