I used to live in Seaside Heights New Jersey the same beach town that the Jersey shore show is being shot at.

The beach webcams on this Fourth of July weekend show a beach scene with a population that is a tiny fraction of the ones that I can remember during the Fourth of July holidays of the past.

As New Jersey Beaches are not now under any threat of the Gulf Oil spill so I now wonder if the crying of the Beach communities in Florida that have not had any oils on their beaches as yet that this threat is keeping people away is true or not.

It seem more likely to be the economic and not the threat of oil that is keeping people away in large measure.
