Hound Dog Elvis.....earlier some early R&B, most my favourite Ray Charles, man can he groove.
Yeah Ceili..I've been getting into his(Ray's) 50's stuff. You know after he crossed over into pop people forgot what a ferocious R&B singer he was. Apart from "what'd I say" I'd guess his early sides are pretty unknown. Try "Ray Charles' Blues" That'll make your poodle skirt jump outta the closet.
heather nova ~ storm
i really like heather nova, she really has a voice to drown in
this one is from her last album, also called storm... it's not the best song of the album but it is still wonderful!
Thanks for the Nova tip. I tried to get some info on her but her web sites are pretty convoluted. By listening to "London Rain" I gathered she is English. She seems to have linked up with Dawsons Creek which would help her popularity. My dislike: Her cover of the Beatles "We Can Work It Out" is really weak, mostly in the production values. Tiptoeing in the footsteps of others can sometimes trip you up. Again, thanks for turning me on to her work, I'm looking forward to hearing more

It's cool that those dudes from the lbc got into the raza the way they did. They made some fabulous music partly because of that.

Finally, hip hop with textured samples are back in vogue(maybe). My favorite style..slinky beats and clever lines. Light up..and lay back
No but I should have my little white car is having clutch trouble.
My Mom wore out so many clutches in our Austin, my Dad would only buy automatics...lol
I heard that it's better to use the brakes than downshift...cheaper too.
Well I do that but 123,000 miles later I guess something has to give.
