@panzade,
I only like it because we get mentioned and don't get bombed. Talk about cultural cringe.

Chatting to a former pom about 1976 being the worst year of pop music ever (a recent Guardian article) and Fox came up - but he only knew S-s-s-single bed, had to educate him that that Noosha was an Australian, Kenny Young wrote under the boardwalk and Single bed was in fact their third charting single and played all three for him

How beautiful! Thanks so much for posting that Panzade - I'd never heard that version before and I love the Blind Boys of Alabama.

I've been thinking of a something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue mix and listening to this:

@aidan,
Although I appreciate Cliff's version, to me Johnny Nash owns that song having written and recorded it in 1972; a year when my 21 year old heart was being smashed to smithereens. Perhaps the upbeat message was what I clung to.

@panzade,
I bought one of these C Crane wifi radios that pick up stations that broadcast simultqaneously on the web. Im in hog heaven , I can switch bqack and forth all over the house (I got a sgnal booster for my router and it turne all the sockets into antennae).
I was listening to St Johns CBC out on the patio (until the rains atrated) and now Im listening to a Nawlins jazz station.
