So, way after the fact, I've just discovered that Nick Cave put out his best album ever this year.

@aidan,
The whole I Am Sam soundtrack is pretty good as soundtracks go, but Crows effort seems to be recorded right over the Beatles backing tracks. More interesting to me is the efforts by Ben Folds and Ben Harper.
Lovely song..an under-the-radar Beatles tune.

@aidan,
So, Aidan et. al, I'm on a serious Nick kick right now and I need y'alls input. The only albums of his I'm familiar with are From Her to Eternity, The Good Son, Murder Ballads, and Dig Lazarus Dig. I know I'm missing good stuff.

But which albums do you suggest I check out next?

@panzade,
I agree - one of my top five favorite Beatle tunes - I think I like her version because she sings it in a key that's comfortably within my vocal range and I can sing along.

I really like Golden Slumbers too - I loved most of this soundtrack - and the movie -for that matter.

@Gargamel,
Gargamel - you've got more of his stuff than I do - I just started listening to his stuff on youtube a year or so ago-a friend told me about him when I said I liked his version of Let it be that I'd heard.

I'll ask him - he's an authority...I'll tell him what you have and ask him what you should get. From what I've seen you post - I bet you'd like a wider variety of his stuff than I do - I need melody and some of his stuff I've heard is a little more dissonant than what I usually listen to tunewise...but I always like his lyrical sense and I LOVE his voice and phrasing.
