Hi P& L --- These people with the Auto cad software, they've got no idea of fun.
It could be that a firewall is blocking you out. I've got Zone Alarm on mine and it's possible to open and close what's allowed access.
As to the runtime error message, I get that on occasions and it is a pain.
Do you have Direct X Diagnostic tool on your PC ? If you run it,,,, it will check your audio and video playback. It only takes a few minutes.
It's usualy in it's own folder in programs.
Run time errors, I'm not sure how you cure them. They seem to come and go, like the rain does.

The BBC radio page offers you 3 playback systems, Real, Windows Media and their own player. Launch from the button in top right and choose the station you want.

Booman, The Big Apple's Music Ambassador, how you doin there bro., blowing those cobwebs outta your head I bet. Me getting it on with Erc Burden, great blues/rock voice. Good job I got some head phones or I'd be in deep mire. Not really a seminar, just a hint or a clue for P & L's radio sanity.

P & L, if you run Direct X it should sort that runtime error, but you may need to download an update from microsoft

Thanks, OaK!! I'll try running Direct X.... we have a computer-guy here in our office and he takes care of all these little computer problems, so I'll show him what's happening with the BBC radio station....

Hi Booman... I haven't had problems navigating the A2K site... I just get these 'run-time error' messages when I open a thread when some of the avatars don't show up. The error messages say something like 'line 301 object should be showing'. I'm just assuming that it's referring to a missing avatar.

I'm getting ready to leave the office.... I listen to audio books in the car, because the drive-time to my house averages about 45 minutes. I'm listening to "The Life of Pi" now....

Very Happy

Hi all--I forget about this thread too often. I usually come here just to read and to hear your songs in my mind if I'm familiar with them.

Today I've gone from the rawness of John Lee Hooker to the sophistication of Duke Ellington's Three Suites.

Now I've switched to the ladies. Aritha Franklin (The Best Of); Great Ladies Sing the Blues with Billie Holiday, Ella, Shirley Horn, Nina Simone, Sarah Vaughn, Morgana King; and Nina Simone's CD The Blues.

What a luxury to be able to listen all day without interuption!

Yeah all those lady singers Diane are just great. I want to get an album called Burning Down The House by Etta James. I also love listening to Macy Gray and Norah Jones.
Playing Neil Young's "Southern Man", telling how it is.

Hey OAK,
...You ever have a music fight with the Ol' ball and chain? I'm in one now. she's in the other room blasting hip-hop, and I'm in here with my CD. Her fisher against my Sony. Poor thing, she's got as much chance as Ruiz had. Twisted Evil

Booman, fight the good fight brother. I get the ball and chain playing M of R music on the radio, you know Phil Collins, Billy Joel all of that kind of music for moms. Then my daughter is playing all that Enenem stuff and whatever else, plus she's got a Jennifer Lopez CD. Now J LO i can look at and smile, but my ears just curl up and pull down the faders. My antidote is something like Screaming Jay Hawkins doing "Heart Attack and Vine". Now that's cool

Back atcha, Booman.

You and oak are too funny, having music fights with your wives. That's why I prefer to travel with my dog and let my husband drive down separately--the dog lets me listen to whatever I like as long as I share lunch with him. What a guy!!
