@RedOct,

I find it funny how some will say there is no evidence that Jesus Christ ever existed, but now these same people can tell you He was married and even how many children He had

Why do you find that strange? There are people who study various fictional characters, characters that they know never existed, and discusss their personalities, their histories, debate on various aspects of the character?s world, story line, family, spouse or lack of, children or lack of, etc. I have seen serious scholars sitting in discussion groups postulating on the identity of the wife of Superman, whether Batman?s parents were actually killed. So why would it be so strange that people who recognize Jesus as a fictional character postulate and debate on his marital status and if he had offspring?
Quote:
Jesus was called a rabbi, but was never a student of the temple, the fact was at the age of 12 He knew more than the teachers of the Temple. And at the age of 12 He pretty much told His earthly father joseph that He, (Jesus) must be about His Fathers business.

Strangely, according to the biblical scholars, this story did not appear in the earliest existing copies of the gospels and seem to be added in the late 2nd or early 3rd century. I have suggested before that you get and read ?Misquoting Jesus? by the Evangelitical Christian scholar, Bart Ehrman..he will introduce you to the ?real? gospels and how they were edited and changed into the gospels of today. :patriot:

If Jesus was fictional then the point of Him being married is mute, and one could make up what ever story they wanted. Yet trying to read into the Bible evidence that simply does not exist is a waste of time.

And to my knowledge, there are no first or second century FULLY existing copies of the Gospels, so how could any scholar say this story was added?

It appears that that is exactly what happened in the 2nd and 3rd centuries CE.

Very astute of you. The first fully existing copies of the gospels are found in the 4th century Codex Sinaiticus, which varies substantially from the present versions of the NT. Many of the wordings in it and other Codices that are nearly as old show the evolution of Jesus from a mere Rabbi to the Son of God to equal to God. How can any scholar say this story was added? Simple, it doesn?t appear in the oldest complete or near complete manuscripts! Another thing that doesn?t exist in the older manuscripts is the verses Mark 16:9 to Mark 16:20, evidentially added after the 4th century CE. Keep telling you, get and read ?Misquoting Jesus?. :patriot:
