Turkey and Beer. Good times.
And to you and everyone else !!!
Enjoy yr holidays !!!
I wonder what they do on this day in the many American Indian reservations in this country? I'm betting it's not quite the same.....
I called every Native restaurant in the city, and couldn't get a reservation.
To you BBB and all, Happy Thanksgiving!
Am driving about 100 miles to pick up Mom (she's baking a pecan and a butterscotch pie!) and driving her back to Houston to have turkey dinner with my sister-in-law's family.
And then I'll drive her back.
Playing golf Friday afternoon.
What's everyone else doing? Cooking or just eating? Traveling, or hosting?
The night of Thanksgiving
Twas the night of Thanksgiving, but I just couldn't sleep.
I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep.
The leftovers beckoned, the dark meat and white,
But I fought the temptation with all of my might.
Tossing and turning with anticipation,
The thought of a snack became infatuation.
So I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door,
And gazed at the fridge full of goodies galore.
I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes,
Pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes.
I felt myself swelling so plump and so round,
'til all of a sudden, I rose off the ground.
I crashed through the ceiling floating into the sky,
With a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie.
But I managed to yell, as I soared past the trees,
Happy eating to all, pass the cranberries please.
May your stuffing be tasty.
May your turkey be plump
May your potatoes 'n gravy have nary a lump,
May your yams be delicious,
May your pies take the prize,
May your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off of your thighs!
Thank you, Bee.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family also.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone here in A2K.
MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY!
I'm going to drive to Ohio to visit Setanta tomorrow. I've never been in the U.S. for Thanksgiving before. I'm looking forward to it. I hear the after-Thanksgiving sales are great!
I hope everyone has a fabulous day and weekend, and doesn't get too bloated.
ehBeth,
Be sure to wear your combat boots and helmet. Things get rough on the Friday after Christmas. This is the day the professional shoppers shop til they drop.
It can be very unnerving to the uninitiated.
Quiet T-G with my Sister and my Brother in law. Duck, Apple Stuffing, and cheery tartarines for dessert.
Quiet T-G with friends, tonight. Lolling about house during the day...
