Extraterrestrial life was described throughout the the Bible and other religious texts such as the Koran and the Hindu Vedas. Primitive people only could describe these experiences to there understanding at the time. If you take into account that most "Christians" don't even know that the word God or Lord doesn't even appear in the Bible. The word "Elohim" when properly translated means "Those who came from the sky" and furthermore is plural. Ignorant Christians refuse to take in account that there God has a name, Yahweh.
Sumerian texts (which are older than the old testament) tell stories of civilizations coming from the sky and implementing themselves on Earth. The Hebrew Bible bears most of its stories from the Sumerian texts.
I will give examples from religious texts as this discussion furthers.
