hahaha. . . priorities. . . mmh. . . cranberry bread. . . now there's an idea. . .
Lots of good Christmassy food to consider. Imho, gingerbread cookies are better than cranberry bread.
Hmm. . . gingerbread is an acquired taste, I think. . . I'll take it with a looooot of added sugar to take the bite off that spice :-)
I'm thinking of cookies decorated with frosting so there's plenty of sweet. My recipe makes a huge amount that we keep in the frig for cookie emergencies.
ooh. . . there's a plan. . .
I actually keep a 5 pound tub of premade sugar cookie dough for such emergencies :-)
It's amazing how long that stuff lasts. A couple years ago I didn't use the last of the dough until Valentine's Day and the cookies were still delicious.

The special effects may have been 1951 vintage, but this is the classic version, it still stands up today. I don't like any other version i've ever seen, and i look forward to seeing this each year.
The Alistair Sim version is still the favorite in the cav household too, but not the colorized version that Ted Turner tries to force on us every year.
I'm waiting until after Thanksgiving for the first viewing of my absolute favorite, "Pocketful of Miracles." It was on TCM a few weeks ago and I watched just the beginning, turning it off before getting into it too deep. "White Christmas" and "Miracle on 34th Street" are must-sees too.
As a sidebar, what's your favorite Christmas movie?
In my Humble opinion, the Alistair Sim version of Christmas Carol is better than Dickens' own version of it.
LOL. . . that could very well be :-)
