@philosopherqueen,
It seems, Blinka, that many of the ideas about using blogs to teach philosophy apply with equal force to the forums here. Students, either by creating a thread (or blog entry) or in replying to someone's post, can enter into a philosophic dialogue and improve their skills.

A great part of "doing philosophy" consists in learning effective presentation and argumentation in presenting a particular position. In doing so, a student sharpens his thinking about the subject and deepens the conceptions he has about it.
