Can we use mileage to indicate the number of kilometres we have travelled? For example, the mileage of 1000 kilometres? Or can we say the kilometreage of 1000 km?

@fansy,
I think it is km/litre or litres/100 km. The term mileage is common like sailings even though ships or ferries no longer use the sail as motive power.

@fansy,
I've never heard the term kilometrage used, Fansy. Possibly, after a few more generations of folks using kilometers, it might change to that but mileage sure is easier to say.

We do use, "How many clicks do you have on this car?"

@JTT,
Whenever Miles DAvis played in Canada, he was known as Kilometres Davis
