@tsarstepan,
Come on folks!! Are you going to be encamping on this desert island with nothing but a clean pair of undies, socks, and a minimalist sensibility?!

SO here is my list of 15 partially random chosen films.

Since I can not chose just five films to take to this deserted island, I would like others to make the choosing for me. Pick any five. Explanations are optional but would be appreciated.

So from this list of 15 great films, pick 5 of them:
Amélie (2001);
Babe (1995);
Casablanca (1942);
Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977);
Ghost In The Shell (1995);
The Incredibles (2004);
The Last of the Mohicans (1992);
The Natural (1984);
The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993);
Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981);
Sideways (2004);
The Silence of the Lambs (1991);
Spirited Away (2001);
Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring (2003);
Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988).

Thank you for your time and dedication in making the dreaded Sophie's Choice decision for me! Smile

Fifteen choices?

Some very serious thought needs to be done before I can do that! So I shall return later ....

But for starters, two books I'm absolutely certain would be on my list:

@msolga,
OK, the other 3 books.
But can I do a deal?
Can I trade some of the films & music for other books?
I'm sort of mourning the books I must leave behind! Wink

Casablanca (1942); - first off, you gotta have a B/W film. Don't ask me why. Plus I think you need a love story.
The Incredibles (2004); - I just love the way this film handles modern living and parenting.
The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993); - too unique to leave behind
Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981); - derring do, it's optimistic and that's a big deal if you're all alone
Spirited Away (2001); - beauty is necessary

Hope this helps!

Okay, I'll bite! What other books would you bring in lieu of music and movies?

You already have 2 great choices to feed the mind and soul in e.e. Cummings and Georgia O'Keefe!
