What is the probability that 2 people in a given population will have the exact same name (first, middle, surname) and same date of birth (day + month + year) if the birth date range is 50 years
@eric janssens,
There isn't enough information to answer this question. It depends on the distribution of names in said given population-- each given population would have different distribution.
@ebrown p,
Like in South Korea, the last name Lee applies to one third of the population... and the most common last name in Italy, Rossi, applies to less than 1 per cent.
@eric janssens,
Quote:same date of birth (day + month + year) if the birth date range is 50 years
in the 50 year range only one day is the same date of birth
i'm so hoping this helps
@eric janssens,
Has anyone ever answered this? I have met a girl who has the same exact name (first + Middle + surname) and she was born less than 24 hours after me, as a matter of fact, if she'd been born an hour earlier, we would have the same name and DOB.
