I know there's the neverending haiku thread, but I wanted to make another thread, simply to post your own haiku.
haiku are sometimes kept to a seventeen syllable limit, but these don't have to be, but they obviously can't be too long!
A spider sits
in meditation
upon the window
A fly thrashes at the window
the cat
is fixated
I had to add this, Kerouac has some brilliant haiku
"Bee, why are you staring at me
I'm not a flower"-Jack Kerouac
I don't do haiku
it will make me sneeze at you.
oh well, here... ah-choo.
Trying to find a
Haiku forum that I can
Post Freely upon
@swalcder,
Thank you swalcder-san.
Did not know this thread was made
until you bumped it.
@tsarstepan,
Fried oysters and clams
To lunch later on this warm
End of summer day
@ehBeth,
November
Caustic cordite smell.
I see the leaves iced in webs;
Dew after fireworks.
@iamsam82,
Talking to chat bots
Cold and lonely winter night-
Echoing my words.
I write azure skies
from a dark and dreary room
birds soar from my lines
@edgarblythe,
I sit at my desk
Composing poems for my wife
The love of my life.
angle lit by the sun
for cat to lie and slumber
until called for food
@edgarblythe,
Don't walk behind me
Because I will never lead
I'll still be your friend
Walk in front of me
And I will not follow you
I'll still be your friend
But walk beside me
Hand and hand toward the end
And WE will be friends.
