eg.

h + i = 19, so h + (h + j) = 19 from substituting for i from equation 3

h + (h + 14 - i) = 19 from substituting for j from equation 2 and

h + h +14 -(19 -h) = 19 from equation 1 so simplifying 3h = 24

h = 8 , i = 11 , j = 3
