So much for the hyped "pitchers duel"!
@George,
the new thinking seems to be don't let a lineup see a starter a third time thru the order (Eovaldi being a glaring exception)...

I am working from home today as well! Funny just got an email at 7:20 am from a co-worker who went to the game last night.
Well at least it was only 11:30 last night.
I'm homing from work.
<yawn>
eighteen inning affair last night | this morning.
3-2 dodgers on a walk-off.
i fell asleep in the 5th, woke up in the 10th and saw the rest.
for the last few innings, the sawx had zero bench players, and one guy left in the bullpen.
Eovaldi went above and beyond -- 6 innings (97 pitches) in relief.
longest world series game in history -- both time and # of innings.
ended at 3:30, giving both teams 16 1/2 hours to get ready for game 3.
despite the end result, i'm glad i saw most of it...
@Region Philbis,
I went to bed during the 12thish inning.
@Region Philbis,
Game 4 is settled. Red Sox are one game away from seizing the World Series Championship.
It was a nice game, a good series. Congrats to Boston on the well earned and deserved victory!
Alex Cora is a remarkable skipper.
Only fitting that he tour Puerto Rico with the trophy, a la Stanley Cup.
Over the last 17 years since '01, Boston-area pro teams have won sports 11 titles.
