@George,
A little hittin' = 18 runs
That's the cushion old Tim needs on this days.

I do confess I'm panicky.

@fbaezer,
...and then there's Ortiz, whose back spasms are causing him to be out of the lineup now.

Rays are staging a last hurrah. Do the Sox have enough gas left in the tank?

@panzade,
Gas they got penty of...but pitching they could use more. What troubles me most is how can the bats can be asleep after being so consistant almost the entire year.

@Rockhead,
Can't blame them at all for putting Wakefield out on the mound. You gotta love the guy for all those innings he's pitched over the years and multi-roles they asked of him...but <sigh> ... not NOW! Decent hitters are shellacking him pretty often now. His fastball is the slowest in MLB. And if the wind blows the wrong way...knuckleballs land in the next county!

What happened to the one of the best minor league systems in baseball? Too much was given up in the A-Gon trade, IMHO.

@Ragman,

the schedule the rest of the way is favorable --
we've got 7 games v baltimore, 3 v nyy;
tb has 7 v nyy, 3 v tranna.
we should sneak into the playoffs, but i fear it'll be a one and done... Confused
