if the problem is how many hours are in x days how do u solve for x?

24(x) hours = 1(x) days

24(2) hours = (2) days

24(3) hours = (3) days

etc.

24(x) hours = (x) days.

x = 24 times x

There are 24 hours in one day. Since x represents a certain amount of days not known to us, there is nothing to solve for x. The answer is 24 hours in one day times x or simply 24x.
