Web browsing while chatting on the phone

I was watching an at&t commercial this evening. on there a guy said it is the only provider that allows you to be on the web while you are chatting with people on the phone. I would like to know if that's true. Can you all talk on the phone while being on the web? Curious minds want to know.

@Droid Motorola,
A step by step "how-to" would be great for people without Gizmo5 or Google Voice. I have neither (yet) and would love to make VOIP calls from the Droid.

@darebrokenheart,
So in order to talk on the phone and surf the web at the same time you will have to download one of those VoIP apps to the phone and only one is free which is a beta version...ok.

That post was from a year and a half ago, that was a quick example of what voip is what you would want to use is gizmo5 (which was just bought by Google) and Google voice

@darebrokenheart,
So why exactly do you even need to do this? Besides that they fail to mention taht fact that that only works in the blue portion of the map (3g) so if yo are traveling you can cancel that idea. Why doesnt verizon have a fact comerical. Also all the freaking apps! One damn phone thats it no other phone! Fastest 3g...only on the blue map...see how fast that crap is on teh road. we need to be informed consumers.

@darebrokenheart,
When I purchase products I try to use them to their full capabilities. It's not critical to me far as chatting on the phone while web browsing...I just want to know. Also while web browsing (browse more on my phone than my computer) I would like to continue browsing while I'm on the phone instead having to wait to hang up. I guess I'm just want to be spoiled.

@darebrokenheart,
Dont know so do you typically chat on the phone and surf the web when away from home. Just seems like a useless tool to me. I had an iphone for 2 years and didnt use that function once. Again something not availble outside of the 3g coverage. But to eaches own.
