Setting it up will be a pain, and there's gonna be a steep learning curve for something this complex... but so far I love it. The display is stunning! I tried a text message on it: be careful about hitting the return button because that sends (I think). The browser is fast and scrolls like a dream. Can't wait to get my music on it.

Doh!! Hopefully i wont actually have to work at my job today so i can customize my droid.
I came home with ALL the toys: car dock, desktop cradle, car charger... the only thing I didn't get were the Verizon screen protectors because I can get better on eBay cheaper

is it possible to make a decent case for this phone? not too bulky but still effective. I mean, as a slider wont that be kind of difficult?
This is my first phone with a hardware keyboard so it will take some getting used to. Otherwise I love the auto-complete function where the Droid suggests words to complete what you're writing. Really speeds things up. Still haven't figured out how to move icons onto the desktop or load my music. The learning continues...
