@BucYouUp68,
That's exciting... I would be more thrilled if I knew just what was in it...

@BucYouUp68,
Nothing on that list affects me :rolleyes: I would LOVE to see "songs play in CD order" on that list...

@BucYouUp68,
I really hope they keep this up. The Iphone is the only phone i have ever seen updates for, and with the Droid going up head to head (and is quickly wining from my view) with it, that just might happen

@Guit4rG0d,
The Dare had TWO upgrades within its first year, so a Droid update within the first 6 weeks is a good indicator of things to come. PLUS all the constant app updates make this thing almost a new toy every week! Very Happy

@BucYouUp68,
The Official Verizon Update Release:

HERE

Apparently they are staggering the release with 200,000 Droids a day getting the update. We should have ours any day now!

Of particular note on the above page is a link to installation instructions. God reading!

Here is a link to a YouTube video showing off the new update:

Looks like the OS will be much faster and more responsive.

@The Chief,
I wonder how they're doing it, if it's by market (like larger cities), b/c it's def not who bought their's first. They sold 100,000 in the first weekend, and many of us here got it opening day.

@BucYouUp68,
I've viewed a number of forums discussing the 2.0.1 update. Oddly, the only thing that is clear, there is a new "lock" screen. While there has been a great deal of concern regarding bluetooth headset dialing, I've yet to find any information if this short coming has been addressed. The chatter, and there is a lot of it, seems to revolve around the haves and the have nots. The haves, have the release. The have nots, don't. The "don'ts" want to know when their phones will receive the update. Not much has been discussed about what the update really did for the Droid owner that received the release. There are two issues that are of interest to me. One, as already mentioned bluetooth headset dialing. Second, camera function. Some have mentioned that after the update, their camera did seem to work faster. The question about picture quality is not as clear (no pun intended).

@BucYouUp68,
Wow, after killing my battery (per Buc's advice) I have so much life in it that after the update I may never need to charge the thing! :p
