@cmacv,
Thus far, that's the only negative I've had. It's been about 55 hours since I walked out of the store w/ it and I've already charged it twice. I'm sure there's some tweaking I can do that'll help conserve the battery, but right now it's my only gripe.

@Droid Motorola,
I got through a full day of videos, e-mail, text messages, browsing, two navigation trips and still had juice to spare when it went to bed in the docking cradle that night. I really don't need it to last more than a day, so it works out fine for me Smile

@cmacv,
This is my first smart phone. Up until now, I've always had Blackberrys. I could get a couple of days out of my BB charge easily. I'm not crazy about this whole- charge it every day thing...

Hi. I got mine on Saturday. I do a full charge with phone plugged into wall outlet then a full discharge. I can't stop using it while on the charger. It is lasting me about 6-8 hours off the charger. I am running the advanced task killer so I can randomly kill all apps, but I forget to do it. I also found information in settings>about phone>status that tell me about what is draining my battery as well as other info.

We really need a back up battery to keep with a ready charge. Is such a thing possible?

@cmacv,
It was pointed out in another android forum to go to Settings > Accounts & Sync > Background Date and uncheck that box. That'll terminate any apps that may be running in the background. But you may want certain ones running. I haven't tried any of the Task Killer apps out there so if there's one that'll only allow one or two to run, that'd be gravy.

@cmacv,
It seems to be close to the other phones I've used in the past nothing more nothing less. I can get through my day so that's all that matters to me.

@cmacv,
Yeah, I don't think anyone is going to go multiple days on a single charge (unless you don't actually USE it during the day) but that being said I'm not having any trouble going an entire day on a charge (a claim some of my iPhone friends can't make). So far (5 days of ownership) after about 16 hours off the charger each day it typically has 20% to 40% charge remaining at the end of the day.

@AndyDroid,
It really depends what u use while your playing with your droid. I know if you play high quality youtube videos it eats up the battery within a hour or two.

@Droid Motorola,
Yesterday was probably the only day that was close to what will be regular use for me. Came off the charger in the am, went all the way to 2:30pm today before dying. I'm still running it all the way down, so after I feel the battery is conditioned a lil bit more, I'll start charging it more often.
