Hamlet = Fonzi Bear
The Ghost = The Swedish Chef
Claudius = Kermit. Kermit would be the too predictable choice for Hamlet, so I would choose to buck the so obvious choice and assign him the role of the villain.
Gertrude = Miss Piggy
Polonius = Sam the Eagle
Ophelia = Janice
Laertes = Rizzo the Rat
Horatio = Gonzo
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern = Statler and Waldorf
Fortinbras = Scooter
Osric = Pepe the King Prawn

Yes! What a great idea! I loved, and still love, the Muppets. This could be a great way to introduce kids to Shakespeare and get them excited about his work. Modernising the language would be a good idea too, I think.

I'd certainly watch such a production.

Miranda - Miss Piggy (casting against type but would she accept any other role?)

Romeo and Juliet gotta be kermit and Miss Piggy.

Also Miss Piggy would make an awesome Shrew.
