@Seed,
you also enjoy the word plethora, as well. Don't forget that!

Pontificate is a good one.

Is that what we're doing right now?

But it doesn't sound too terrific when you say it.

Just try & say "plethora" elegantly.

See what I mean?

@Seed,
Have you tried saying it in front of a mirror?

I have. And I'm afraid it doesn't look the best, Seed.

@msolga,
No, I don't allow mirrors in my house. I don't like things staring back at me Smile

@Seed,
Fair enough, Seed.

But how are you going to know what you actually look like when you attempt to say plethora?

Not a pretty sight. Trust me. Smile

@msolga,
Another of my favourite words is possum.

A term of endearment in Oz.

You only use it for people you care about, people you feel affection for.

@msolga,
Hmm, good point. though then again Eyes are on the front of your face so you don't have to watch yourself speak I guess.

And possum is a term of endearment around here as well

Really?

That surprises me, Seed.

I mean, there wouldn't exactly be real possums in your neck of the woods.

How come, then?

@msolga,
There are real possums around here. The only (I think) indigenous marsupial common to North America

Septuagesimal was a word I recall from my Catholic childhood . It rolls off the tongue like "cellar door" except with "S's" instead of "R's"

@farmerman,
I wonder how one would use septuagesimal in everyday conversation?

Septuagesimal

Our abridged and septuagesimal age. --Sir T. Browne.

Here is an improvised fan fiction sentence:
After the "Dude*" took a toke from the empyreal weed from the gods, he finally came down from his heavenly septuagesimal year high.

* = The Big Lebowski, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118715/.

Does this practice sentence pass the muster?
