I believe him on this account. I watch him and Jon Stewart as well as other news sources of satirical ilk enough to figure out when their pulling the collective legs of the audience and when they're critiquing actual factual events.

Ok, thanks, I just about believed it (what was it doing on abc, which I about never watch? I'll have to go back and check all that.) I see I was less than perspicacious.

I'm sort of weirded out. My cousin's husband sent me some damned email about reid and pelosi being borne of anal sex, as a naughty but cute email.

He has a letter coming.

The New Testament verses on the guns were real, and in ABC's original report. Then Colbert picked that up and satirically added the Jesus hand grenades and Jesus mines.

Personally, I think the Jesus guns are weird enough already.

Yeah, I agree that it's weird as hell. But I don't get all the excitement and hand wringing. It's funny in a sense. What harm has been done? I doubt that even one out of a hundred of the people using these sights ever noticed the message. And, even if they had, I repeat: what harm has been done?

Yeah, this is really bad press no matter how you market it. The manufacturers are idiots and I would think any real Christians would be disgusted.
Whatever happened to asking What would Jesus do? before coming up with a scheme like this?
