The original "Siamese twins" (actually called "The Chinese Twins" in Siam) married sisters in America. There was strong opposition to the marriage and they threatened suicide through separation surgery if they were not allowed to marry but they eventually wed and had 22 children.
Edit: but one of the Hilton sisters was refused the marriage license because the other was not engaged. Not exactly bigamy of course.

I had been reading the book " A Canticle for Leibowitz" where a character in a post-nuclear apocalypse had begun to grow another head on its shoulder and the local priest was asked to baptise the head. A discussion followed as to whether or not the extra head had a soul and if so whether the head could be an "Immaculate Conception."

Fine, fine book. I read it many years ago but remember it vividly.
