The little dogs saluted you on your birthday, in their own way. I made a remark to The Girl to the effect that the way she has spoken the Cleo reminded me of you, Thomas, and then said "Hi" to the doggies as you do. The occasion was reading the letter you had sent us. Both the little dogs perked up when i addressed them in that manner, their ears shot straight up, and they ran over to where i was sitting. They sniffed your letter, which i was holding in my hand, and they both became very excited.

The little doggies remember you very fondly, Thomas.
