@neko nomad,
Between you and Daisy Ryder - finally - you've taught me how to post a piece of music beneath a picture - hurrah! Forgot to say 'click on it' on the other post, so nobody will know what I'm talking about - but can say it here -

Click on the picture!

@vonny,
Looks as though you've got the hang of it, Vonny! Give us more; give us more.
In the meantime, have a listen to Frank Sinatra under this one, sort of highway themed:

This one's been tricky - hope it works okay.

@vonny,
Slide this one onto your turntable and give it a listen. Kinda old, but still okay to me:

Not long back from a ruggedly beautiful long weekend down at Port Isaac.

Good food and surprisingly good weather, as long as you weren't a wig wearer.

Port Isaac and that coastline is of course home to the wonderful Doc Martin (brit tv series, if any american is wondering) and it is also home to..

.......FISHERMANS FRIENDS....nearly all local fishermen....
I challenge you NOT to sing "heave away" for the rest of the day.

of course, the song is SOUTH AUSTRALIA.

Well ,some years before Damn Yankees, or for that matter, television, we had good old broadcast radio. Here's a sample of daytime radio.

The Ames Brothers serenaded housewives during the day across radioland
around about '48,'49, or so.
