I once allowed a lady tax inspector to take advantage of me and it resulted in her treating my case with a fair degree of leniency. I would have done it anyway as she really was a bit of alright and with her husband being one of those narcissistic bodybuilding types ( the source of her dissatisfaction) I could be sure he always wore a condom.

I can remember that after one afternoon of going over my accounts she walked slap into a wall as I was showing her out.

" WOULD YOU SELL YOUR BODY TO FINANCE A PHD? "

ABSOLUTELY NOT, but I 'd have rented it for a reasonable profit,
on a short-term basis, depending on TO WHOM and excluding any abuse
(no whips nor chains, etc.).

I sold access to my ears/eyes/brain etc to help subsidize my education. I signed up for nearly every paying gig the psych and optometry departments had going. Test my hearing, test my vision, figure out if I can be hypnotized ... I was game for it.

I'm not sure I'd go for the full body sale, but I think I'll go with the never say never response. I certainly don't have any ethical or moral objection to it.
Thay accosted me in the street
and got me to do it for free. I didn t mind. It was kinda fun.

@ehBeth,

I remember a cartoon by Al Capp of Fearless Fosdick,
a police detective, who by night made "a cool $5"
by letting them saw off the top of his skull
(which experimenters used as an ashtray for their cigars)
while thay experimented with his brain @ night.

How touching. Have you no faith in the mercy of the controlling female? Only known quantities allowed eh?

You can make more money with your body than you can with a worthless master's or doctorate.

Just skip the degree.

Yeah; none whatsoever.
Plenty of reason for no faith.

@OmSigDAVID,
I am inclined to agree Dave but I'm also prepared to admit I'm a wimp in this regard.

I am still paying a few hundred dollars a month on school debt (and I am in my 40s).

If I had had a chance to avoid all that debt...

There seems to be a growing trend in the private sector of business that having ones PHD is no longer commonplace.

I went through art school nights and my company paid for it. (NYNEX). Are these same companies paying for PHDs'?
