I vote for the ascot, and anything that spins, like those propellor hats, and those wacky bow ties.

cav- To me, there is nothing so ungraceful than a woman who has to contort herself in such a way, in her miniskirt, so that she presents herself appropriately. In my neck of the woods, split skirts are popular. They combine the best of skirts and slacks.

But what about the symbolism of freeing women from the sexual oppression of men, like the bikini? Umm...okay...I just like looking at them. Laughing Split skirts are nice too, but I'm a leg man Wink

Yep, codpiece is a good one. I hate those overly baggy pants that the kids wear these days. I am certain there is enough washroom access these days to not have to make room for it in your jeans.

Gaucho pants
The Leisure suit
Leg warmers
Belly-baring tops (well, the intentional kind, I don't mean just buying a top that's too small)
Wrap skirts that fly open (sorry, guys)
Hats with pompons

Top hats were pretty useless, they didn't keep the rain off to any great extent, they didn't keep the sun off the back of your neck, although thats not a problem for us, and they looked stupid. I think stateside they were referred to as "stovepipe hats"

Hats with pompoms on are great !!
I've got a blue, white and yellow one with a yellow bobble on the top.
It looks bloody ridiculous. Which is precisely why I wear it.

I reckon corsets are pretty damn silly, especially the really confining ones with the whalebone and the zillions of laces up the back.
*thinks back to gothic girlfriend*
Hmmmmm, maybe they weren't that ridiculous. Wink

Actually top of my list for absurd items of apparel has to be those massively oversized training shoes (sneakers) that some people wear with the laces undone.
*shakes head in bewilderment*

Nylons, although the inventor wasn't so dumb making them as fragile as they are.

Panty hose. They make me feel like a human sling shot!!

The hats with propellers can be very chic. You should see a picture of Roger wearing one at the Florida gathering!
