@solipsister,

"Parts" do not constitute an entire country. The way the question is phrased, it must be assumed we are talking about a landlocked country. I don't know of any such in Europe. Switzerland is landlocked, but it's not anywhere like 1,000 miles from any sea. The Mediterranean is nigh.

I don't think Iceland is near any sea? The Irish sea would be about 1000 miles away. Just a thought.
In the mind of the initial poster is an Euro country the same as an European country, meaning a country from a continent called Europe?
Because around here, an Euro country is a country from the European Union.

@brokencdplayer,
What? Are you expecting a megatsunami sometime in the near future?

I believe the north sea is between Scotland and Norway. I think Iceland is in the Atlantic, or the North Atlantic which is not a sea, but an ocean.
Oh c'mon. That's really playing with words, to say that an island in the middle of the ocean is somehow miles from any sea. Sheeesh. The only difference between 'ocean' and 'sea' is size. Otherwise, they're the same thing.
Playing with words??? This question was obviously a trivia question. Trivial information is what counts in trivia contests.
I didn't name the world's water bodies. Geography is geography, I didn't invent it, nor am I a cartographer but I can read a map.
