I need some help from all of you garden experts.
I have a 3 year old weeping willow tree in my yard.
It is about 12 feet tall.
There are some branches growing at ground level, and I want to trim them off.
I want to get the classic weeping willow look when the tree is mature, with the large canopy.
Do I need to prune those lower branches yet (if at all)?
Or, will they naturally produce the look I want?
@mysteryman,
if you have a sewer line, or other underground piping, make sure the tree is not near them.
the roots of this type of tree have been known to break into them...
