Does anyone on the forum has any famous Relatives or was at some point of his/her life assocaited with any famous person of his/her times?
No matter who they are, even if they're dead...
I am a distant relative of Babe Ruth.
Please tell us more about them...
I am a second cousin of Leontyne Price. Never met her. She was/is always "too busy" for family.
I can't say more about Babe Ruth than what is generally known. Nobody in my family ever met him.
Going back in our family tree to my great-great grandfather, the maximum family history available from Japan, no famous people in our family that I'm aware of. However, my younger brother is a legislator in the California Assemby. Saw all my siblings last weekend, because I attended my junior high school fiftieth reunion in Wilton, south of Sacramento.
Distantly related to Louis Reil, Canada's first rebel/traitor. He was hung after the Red River Rising in Manitoba, after the metis tried to have their rights as a people settled.
Distantly related to Eva Braun the slut.
distant relation to the Gracie martial arts family through what would be something like my great great great great grandmother, since I still have contact with the family I can tell you they are down to earth ppl. For being the founding family of no holds barred fighting they are overly polite. I also concider Rob Williams aka Kid Rock like a brother to me but it is not by blood just by history.
Oh great, I'm related to Herb Alpert.
We don't talk about it much.
My mother's uncles were small time hoods in Murder, Inc. I don't really wanna share any more than that - one of 'em's mug shots is online. Eek.
Yep. Robert E. Lee. Don't think one need ask about him
My husband's first cousin, who was a V.P. with one of the major networks, died in a plane crash with Bruce Geller of Mission Impossible. He was really a delightful man.
Jes- We must have some relatives in common. My uncle (my mother's sister's husband) was on the fringes of the Mafia. He wasn't actually in it, bacause he wasn't Italian, but travelled in those circles.
He had dinner with Albert Anastasia the evening before Anastasia was whacked in a barber chair. The cops were all over my uncle for months! (No, he didn't do it.......I think  )
My ex-husband used to tease me that Uncle H..... made the papers more often than Dick Tracy!
Joe Birdidneck is my third cousin. Joe won the bowling trophy three years running down at Clem's Bowling Palace. I guess that makes him famous. I am also related to Edgar Allen Poe, but I'm sure you've never heard of him. He wrote stuff.
Phoenix32890 my wife is directly related to the family that controls genoa italy lol they even did a background check on me before we got married....lets just say they didn't like I have brazilian blood in me.

I can't believe it, Joe is my cousin too. I didn't say anything before because I don't want people asking me to meet him and stuff.

My great-uncle was the driver for Abe Reles the night he (Reles) died. Man oh man do you and I have things in common! Ha! Too funny.
gustav, I think Craven would be very interested in your geneology.
safecracker, can your wife's family settle a small debt for me in Italy?
