Accidentally, of course, my dad sent a praying mantis to an early grave. Here is the story...
My little sister found a praying mantis, prayin on a light pole. My dad tried to carry it, but it flew away. It flew for 3 seconds, and then we saw Mynah Birds. 2 of them. One soared in for the catch! uh- oh. WE saw the brown praying mantis no more. In the birds mouth, it went. We laughed and cried at the same time.
@TTH,
i know, right? I <3 my profile too! but, it was sad and funny!
@wertyiu102,
When I was a kid we had a crane-fly in the house. But rather than kill it I was feeling generous and went to a lot of trouble to shoo it out a window without hurting it. While I was watching it fly away across the back yard and feeling all good about myself for saving a life, a Purple Martin suddenly swooped in and caught the crane-fly and carried it to the bird house as food for its chicks. Oops. Bugs lead a very risky life.
@rosborne979,
yes... yes they do, i'm sorry to say. once i knocked out a fly. It was still alive so i put it outside on my bird cage. i think my bird ate it. Also, birdseat CHICKEN!
oh, what's matter with you guys? Let the 10 year old have some fun.
