Same here. It really gets the blood to pumping.
I'm a big fan of the Peter Gunn theme too....great little riff there.
Also, the Spongebob Squarepants theme always brings me to tears....living in a pineapple under the sea....so sad....
I like porn flick soundtracks.....so cutting edge......
I like the Ghostbusters theme, it makes me wanna DANCE!
Cantatas by J.S. Bach. With tight structures, it is no wonder that they are extremely rich in emotions.
I have a lot.
"Simply The Best"--Tina Turner. It was the unofficial theme song of the parade when my alma mater won thier 1st ever National Football Title(In a PLAYOFF no less!)
"When The Going Gets Tough"--Billy Ocean. I just get pumped up when I hear this.
"Closer To Fine"--Indigo Girls. I just feel better after hearing this tune.
"Meant For Me"--Jewel. Reminds me of cold morinings in NH (common song on a the local Morning show)
I just got a Bill Withers CD, a few of his songs make be shiver. Lean On Me especially.

Yesterday was the 1 year anniversary of your joining A2K!!
CONGRATS!
kitchenpete wrote:The ultimate "moist eyes" song for me is very corny indeed: Two Little Boys by Rolf Harris.
It takes a real man to admit that Pete, good on yer.
i'll have to say
you know you're right by nirvana
it manages to make me cry all the time
also anything by the cure, particularly "pictures of you" and "bloodflowers"
"Brick" by Ben Folds Five
Many songs for many reasons.
Because my mother liked the song "Honey" by B. Goldsboro, the song would move me to tears were I to listen to it.
"Take My Mother Home" by Harry Belafonte. It is, in the lyrics, Jesus' last request before dying on the cross. It is complete with sound effect of hammer driving nails to a wailing chorus - I'm a sucker for that stuff.
Many Dylan songs, such as "Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll" and "Masters of War" get me riled.
Leonard Cohen's "The Traitor" haunted me for months. I used to play it several times a day.
I experienced a sort of euphoria when Jerry Lee Lewis first bombarded us with "Great Balls of Fire" and "High School Confidential."
I feel very sentimental hearing the Johnny Mathis version of "Hello Young Lovers."
Belafonte's version of "One For My Baby and One More For the Road" makes me very blue.
Certain Ray Charles recordings make me feel a sort of awe: "Georgia on My Mind", "I Can't Stop Loving You."
Too many more to get into just now.
My Best Friend - Tim McGraw
This Kiss - Faith Hill
Johnny Cash - Hurt
Ella Fitzgarlld - At Last
Rainbow Connection - practically any one-mainly women.
Through With You - Marron 5
Tears in Heaven - Eric Clapton
I Can't Be Your Friend - Tim Rushlow
Jon Bon Jovi - Always
Why Worry - American Rejects
Walking in Memphis - Lonestar (Remix)
First five to come to mind;
1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky
Orion by Metallica
Zombie Eaters by Faith No More
Big Man With A Gun by Nine Inch Nails
Gorecki by Lamb
Bizarrely emotional for me: "Underneath your clothes" by Shakira - one particular woman I'd like to have sing that to me - it's the way I think of her!
From Madman Across the Water, by Elton John. GoodBye
And now that its all over
the birds can rest again
I'll only snow when the sun comes out
I'll shine only when it starts to rain.
And if you want a drink, just squeeze my hand
And wine will flow unto the land and feed my lambs
For I am a mirror, I can reflect the moon
I will write songs for you
I'll be your silver spoon
I'm sorry I took your time I am a poem that doesn't rhyme
Just turn back a page, I'll waste away
I'll waste away
I'll waste awayyyyyyy.
This will always be my favorite . . . . . . sigh
Taps.
I had a lab once, in a UCLA building by the VA Cemetery on Veteran Avenue. That was in the late sixties, early seventies. I heard taps fairly often through my permanently closed glass window. My father is also buried in that cemetery. Well, hey, I always tear when I hear that.
Elton John - Indian Sunset (Madman across...)
Kate Bush - This womans work (Sensual world)
David Bowie - Warszawa (Low)
Marillion - Kayleigh (misplaced Childhood)
Weather Report - Birdland (Heavy weather) R.I.P. Jaco
Renaissance - At the harbour (Ashes are burning)
OK, all a little left field, but each personal.
"Howling winds and the raging waves
Cracked upon the boats
And torn from safety, torn from life
Men with little hope
Ghostly echoes at the harbour
Whispering of death
Women weeping holding hands
Of those they still have left "
Love hurts, love scars
Love wounds, and mars any heart
Not tough or stong enough
To take a lot of pain, take a lot of pain
Love is like a cloud, holds a lot of rain
Love hurts......ooh, ooh love hurts
I'm young , I know, but even so
I know a thing or two, and I learned from you
I really learned a lot, really learned a lot
Love is like a flame, it burns you when it's hot
Love hurts......ooh, ooh love hurts
Some fools think of happiness
Blissfulness, togetherness
Some fools fool themselves I guess
They're not foolin' me
I know it isn't true ,i know it isn't true
Love is just a lie, made to make you blue
Love hurts......
Ooh, ooh love hurts, ooh, ooh love hurts
I know it isn't true, I know it isn't true
Love is just a lie, made to make you blue
Love hurts......
Ooh, ooh love hurts, ooh, ooh love hurts
sung by Roy Orbison
