About what percent of U.S. government expenditures is spent on defense?

do you want the military only, or do you want to include Homeland security, CIA, and the several hundred Billion per year that we spend on the secret agencies as well?

2009 projected is $651 billion, though the administration says that they will come back for more in the form of a supplemental

However, that refers to federal borrowing as a percentage of federal spending.

I asked for federal defense spending as a percentage of total federal spending.
